Aficionados of our region are not agreed upon on when our mountains are more beautiful – in summer or winter. So many people come at both times of year.

A summer holiday in the mountains in the Altenmarkt-Zauchensee region captivates the senses, and you can put a spring back in your step. During a summer holiday you can discover our unique mountainscape, where on warm sunny days the air has a fresh, fragrant aroma.

Experience the versatility of Salzburger Land. Many excursions are possible from here: the Mozart city of Salzburg with its dreamy Old Town, which is a world cultural heritage site, Europe’s highest waterfalls in Krimml, the biggest ice caves in the world, ‘Eisriesenwelt’ in Werfen, the picturesque-imperial Salzkammergut, or a journey on the  Großglockner high Alpine road to Austria’s highest mountain – we will be happy to advise you.

The leisure opportunities in Altenmarkt / Zauchensee are many and varied. Mountain biking, Nordic Walking, beach volleyball, the high-rope climbing park, aerobics, aqua aerobics and archery are just a few of the sports which you can practise with us in Altenmarkt/Zauchensee. 150 km of well constructed and marked hiking paths, fun court and summer lift operations – Salzburger Land has a colourful mix, meaning your summer holiday will leave nothing to be desired.

All of Zauchensee becomes a ‘club’ village in the summer. 30 hosts see to your leisure needs. Supervision of children from various age groups: ‘Magic Mini Fruits’ from 3-5 years old, ‘Magic Kids’ from 6 to 9 years old, ‘Magic Teens’ from 10 to 14 years old, ‘Magic Youth’ from 14 to 17 years old, not forgetting of course activities for adults too.
